Path of Solar Eclipse 2002
The full path of totality is shown in black in the figure above. The width
of the path varies, and is widest around the middle of the path, over the
southern Indian Ocean. The times at which the umbra passes four points on
the path are marked. The times are Universal Time (UT) - South African
Standard Time (SAST) is UT + 2 hours. The shadow of the Moon moves from
West to East across the Earth, as the Moon passes from West to East across
the face of the Sun.
