One workshop was carried out at BaPhalaborwa. Here participants try out their eclipse viewers.
Giyani science centre made use of their own orrery (foreground) together with the one made in the HartRAO workshops to explain how eclipses occur. Studious notetaking seems to be going on here.
For the eclipse, the buses travelled to the public venue at the showgrounds in Musina, where a large crowd gathered.

Totality! Excited watchers in the darkness attempt to capture the eclipse on film.
Another view of eclipse watchers during totality.
