Data acquisition refers to all data which has to be acquired by the NCCS.
This can be divided into fast data acquisition, slow data acquisition and
specialised data acquisition.
Specialised data acquisition refers to those subsystems which generate
their own data and which have to be read and stored by the NCCS e.g. correlator and pulsar
timer but not the VLBI terminal.
