Configuration

Receiver and system setups must be defined and stored in configuration files. The present format of these files on the HP 1000 (which contain feed offsets, noise diode cal values etc.) is not adequate and needs to be refined to make it easily extendable. The NCCS must support the notion of configuration files. Standard and non-standard setups must be read by the NCCS from these files. It must be possible for observers to modify existing configurations and define their own configurations using a simple ASCII-based editor. Configuration files must be kept under revision control so that it is possible to go back to old configurations.
